Idle Hands are from KilKeel, Northern Ireland and were formed at the end of 2009 when new front woman Natalie Glenny joined the band with Gordon McBride on guitar, Mervyn Wilson on bass and Darren McBride on drums.
The band were formally known as 'deni reality' and had a punk sound but are now feeling like they've found their place with the rock and blues scene.
The band have gone from strength to strength since forming and intend to continue to grow over the coming years.
Idle Hands were lucky as a newly formed band to get the opportunity to play blues on the Bay Festival in May 2010 with great success which lead to being asked back for a second year at the fabulous festival and with praise, such as;
'Relatively new to the blues circuit, the festival is pleased to introduce 'Idle Hands'. With a wide rockin' repertoire of popular and own songs, front woman 'Natalie's stunning looks and sounds captivate the crowd every time. Don't miss this premier class performance'.
At the end of July 2011 Idle Hands entered the Narrow Water Studio to begin recording which brought them to the conclusion that they craved a fuller sound which lead to second guitarist Kevin O' Hagan joining the band. With some blood, sweat and tears Idle hands were proud to release their debut album
'Love, Peace, Lies and Mellon Collie'
The band are hoping that this album will increase their fan base and will get them one step closer to their vision of success.
Aspirations of a plentiful 2012 keep this band fully driven and yearning for more!
